Cosmetic Dentistry describes any dental procedure that is intended to improve the appearance of your smile (including teeth, gums, and/or bite) by addressing things like colour, shape, size, position, gaps, alignment, or the overall appearance of your smile. The procedures involved may not necessarily address the health or functionality of your smile. Cosmetic dentistry is usually performed for aesthetic reasons. While dentists are always concerned with your overall dental health and having a cosmetic procedure done MAY improve your dental health, the procedure is focused on how your mouth will look, rather than how well it functions.
