At Dolphin Dental, our qualified team will conduct a thorough examination of your mouth and teeth alignment, which will include a digital scan of your mouth, and then provide you with a recommendation. If a clear aligner system is recommended, a custom treatment plan will be designed just for you. After design and fabrication of the clear aligners using digital 3D technology, you will see your dentist every few weeks in order to check your progress and change to the next set of Aligners in your series. Each aligner moves (realigns) the teeth by a small amount, so multiple sets will be required to slowly move your teeth into the correct position according to your individual treatment plan. Depending on the patient, treatment can take anywhere from six to twenty-four months, sometimes longer. After treatment is complete, a custom clear retainer is made from a mold of the newly straightened teeth. Retainers should be worn every night while sleeping to ensure malocclusion does not recur over time. Dolphin Dental will monitor the alignment of your teeth continually, during your regularly scheduled patient visits, and make recommendations if necessary based on the specifics of your case.
